The dual vocational training model has proved to be highly successful, renowned for bridging the gap between educational and labour market needs to mutually benefit apprentices and companies alike. In a country like Egypt where unemployment rates soar high, dual vocational training is instrumental in creating job opportunities among youth ready for transition into work life, while empowering companies to take the first step towards improved productivity and accelerated competitiveness. But companies face a challenge finding suitably skilled professionals as many students prefer to pursue a higher education rather than accessing the labour market, so there is a need to improve the quality of the dual education and training system to be more attractive for youth.
